Quran: Chapter Al-Furqan (25), Verse 59

Thursday, December 11, 2008

And indeed We created man...

And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). (12)

Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). (13)

Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So Blessed is Allâh, the Best of creators.(14)

After that, surely, you will die. (15)

Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. (16)

Everyone acts according to his own disposition: but your Lord knows best who it is that is best guided on the Way

Yet when We bestow Our favours on man, he turns away and becomes remote on his side (instead of coming to Us) and when evil seizes him he gives himself up to despair! (83)

A goodly word as a goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed...

See you not how Allâh sets forth a parable? - A goodly word as a goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches (reach) to the sky (i.e. very high). (24)

Giving its fruit at all times, by the Leave of its Lord and Allâh sets forth parables for mankind in order that they may remember. (25)

And your Ilâh (God) is One Ilâh (God - Allâh), there is none who has the right to be worshipped but He, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. (163)

Verily! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, and the ships which sail through the sea with that which is of use to mankind, and the water (rain) which Allâh sends down from the sky and makes the earth alive therewith after its death, and the moving (living) creatures of all kinds that He has scattered therein, and in the veering of winds and clouds which are held between the sky and the earth, are indeed Ayât (proofs, evidences, signs, etc.) for people of understanding. Quran: Chapter Al-E-Imran (3), Verses 26-27.

Wednesday, August 13, 2008

Truly, the religion with Allah is Islam... "Do you (also) submit yourselves (to Allah in Islam)?"

Truly, the religion with Allâh is Islâm. Those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) did not differ except, out of mutual jealousy, after knowledge had come to them. And whoever disbelieves in the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh, then surely, Allâh is Swift in calling to account. (19)

So if they dispute with you (Muhammad SAW) say: "I have submitted myself to Allâh (in Islâm), and (so have) those who follow me." And say to those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and to those who are illiterates (Arab pagans): "Do you (also) submit yourselves (to Allâh in Islâm)?" If they do, they are rightly guided; but if they turn away, your duty is only to convey the Message; and Allâh is All-Seer of (His ) slaves (20)

Quran: Chapter Al-E-Imran (3), Verse (18)

Monday, August 4, 2008

Such are the possessions of this world's life

Fair in the eyes of men is the love of things they covet: women and sons; heaped-up hoards of gold and silver; horses branded (for blood and excellence); and (wealth of) cattle and well-tilled land. Such are the possessions of this world's life; but in nearness to Allah is the best of the goals (to return to). (14)

Satan threatens you with poverty and orders you to commit evil deeds ...

Spend of the good things which you have earned

O you who believe! Spend of the good things which you have (legally) earned, and of that which We have produced from the earth for you, and do not aim at that which is bad to spend from it, (though) you would not accept it save if you close your eyes and tolerate therein. And know that Allâh is Rich (Free of all wants), and Worthy of all praise. (267)

Quran: Chapter Al-Baqara (2), Verse 267.

Those Messengers! We preferred some often to others;

These are the Verses of Allâh, We recite them to you (O Muhammad SAW) in truth, and surely, you are one of the Messengers (of Allâh). (252)
Those Messengers! We preferred some often to others; to some of them Allâh spoke (directly); others He raised to degrees (of honour); and to 'Īsā (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), We gave clear proofs and evidences, and supported him with Rûh-ul-Qudus [Jibrael (Gabriel)]. If Allâh had willed, succeeding generations would not have fought against each other, after clear Verses of Allâh had come to them, but they differed - some of them believed and others disbelieved. If Allâh had willed, they would not have fought against one another, but Allâh does what He likes. (253)
.
Quran: Chapter Al-Baqara (2), Verses 252 & 253

Thursday, July 3, 2008

He sent the Scripture in truth to judge between people in matters wherein they differed.

Mankind were one community and Allâh sent Prophets with glad tidings and warnings, and with them He sent the Scripture in truth to judge between people in matters wherein they differed. And only those to whom (the Scripture) was given differed concerning it after clear proofs had come unto them through hatred, one to another. Then Allâh by His Leave guided those who believed to the truth of that wherein they differed. And Allâh guides whom He wills to a Straight Path. (213)

Righteousness

It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces towards East or West (in prayers);
but it is righteousness ―
to believe in Allah
and the Last Day
and the Angels
and the Book
and the Messengers;
to spend of your substance out of love for Him,
for your kin, for orphans for the needy,
for the wayfarer for those who ask and for the ransom of slaves;
to be steadfast in prayer and practise regular charity;
to fulfil the contracts which ye have made;
and to be firm and patient in pain (or suffering)
and adversity and throughout all periods of panic.
Such are the people of truth the Allah-fearing. (177)

Quran: Chapter Al-Baqara (2), Verse 177.

Friday, June 13, 2008

We have sent down to thee manifest signs (ayat); and none reject them but those who are perverse.

Say: Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel-for he brings down the (revelation) to thy heart by Allah's will, a confirmation of what went before and guidance and glad tidings for those who believe.― (97)
Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and prophets to Gabriel and Michael-Lo! Allah is an enemy to those who reject faith. (98) We have sent down to thee manifest signs (ayat); and none reject them but those who are perverse. (99)
Is it not (the case) that every time they make a Covenant some party among them throw it aside? - Nay most of them are faithless. (100)
And when came to them an Messenger from Allah, confirming what was with them, a party of the people of the Book threw away the Book of Allah behind their backs, as if (it had been something) they did not know! (101)

Quran: Chapter Al-Baqara (2), Verses 97-101

Monday, June 9, 2008

while it is the truth confirming what is with them...

And when there came to them (the Jews), a Book (this Qur'ân) from Allâh confirming what is with them [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)], although aforetime they had invoked Allâh (for coming of Muhammad Peace be upon him ) in order to gain victory over those who disbelieved, then when there came to them that which they had recognised, they disbelieved in it. So let the Curse of Allâh be on the disbelievers. (89)

How bad is that for which they have sold their ownselves, that they should disbelieve in that which Allâh has revealed (the Qur'ân), grudging that Allâh should reveal of His Grace unto whom He wills of His slaves. So they have drawn on themselves wrath upon wrath. And for the disbelievers, there is disgracing torment. (90)

And when it is said to them (the Jews), "Believe in what Allâh has sent down," they say, "We believe in what was sent down to us." And they disbelieve in that which came after it, while it is the truth confirming what is with them. Say (O Muhammad Peace be upon him to them): "Why then have you killed the Prophets of Allâh aforetime, if you indeed have been believers?" (91)

Verily, those who say: "Our Lord is (only) Allâh," and thereafter stand firm on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

And before this was the Scripture of Mûsâ (Moses) as a guide and a mercy. And this is a confirming Book (the Qur’ân) in the Arabic language, to warn those who do wrong, and as glad tidings to the Muhsinûn good-doers. (12)

Verily, those who say: "Our Lord is (only) Allâh," and thereafter stand firm (on the Islâmic Faith of Monotheism) on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. (13)

Quran: Chapter Al-Baqara (2), Verse 186

Monday, May 26, 2008

... shall we indeed be created anew?...

Who made everything He has created good, and He began the creation of man from clay. (7)
Then He made his offspring from semen of dispised water (male and female sexual discharge). (8)
Then He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him the soul (created by Allâh for that person), and He gave you hearing (ears), sight (eyes) and hearts. Little is the thanks you give! (9)

And they say: "When we are (dead and become) lost in the earth, shall we indeed be created anew?" Nay, but they deny the Meeting with their Lord! (10)

Say: "The angel of death, who is set over you, will take your souls, Then you shall be brought to your Lord." (11)

And (remember) the Day We shall cause the mountains to pass away (like clouds of dust), and you will see the earth as a levelled plain, and we shall gather them all together so as to leave not one of them behind. (47)

And they will be set before your Lord in (lines as) rows, (and Allâh will say): "Now indeed, you have come to Us as We created you the first time. Nay, but you thought that We had appointed no meeting for you (with Us)." (48)

And the Book (one's Record) will be placed (in the right hand for a believer in the Oneness of Allâh, and in the left hand for a disbeliever in the Oneness of Allâh), and you will see the Mujrimûn (criminals, polytheists, sinners), fearful of that which is (recorded) therein. They will say: "Woe to us! What sort of Book is this that leaves neither a small thing nor a big thing, but has recorded it with numbers!" And they will find all that they did, placed before them, and your Lord treats no one with injustice. (49)

By the Night as it conceals (the light); (1) By the Day as it appears in glory; (2)
By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female― (3) Verily (the ends) ye strive for are diverse. (4)
So he who gives (in charity) and fears (Allah), (5)
